Josie 6 and 7 months old ~ Tuesdays'Show andTail

At times Josie loves to take a little nap on my lap.  She's such a loving little girl.

Other times she likes to lay on the floor!  lol  I don't know what was going on with her legs.  hahaha
In this picture you can see her long eye lashes that look like she's wearing false eye lashes.  She has the most beautiful eyes.  Pictures just don't do it justice.
She's such a beautiful girl.  We think she is going to be on the petite side.  Her parents were smaller as well.

Retiring Tuesdays' Show & Tail

I've been thinking long and hard about retiring Tuesdays' Show & Tail. It will be 2 years in October that I have been doing it. I've really enjoyed hosting Tuesdays' Show & Tail and viewing the posts of all the participates. I've seen so many different animals, some of which I wouldn't have seen if you hadn't shared them with me. I appreciate those that have participated and have made some new friends through hosting. I'll still post pictures of my dogs and other animals and I hope that everyone else will still post pictures of their animals too. I just feel that it is time to retire. This will be my last post for Tuesdays' Show & Tail.

I thought I would share a few of the pictures that I have posted in previous posts for TS&T as a farewell.

The peacock is one of my favorite birds. It was my inspiration for the button I created for TS&T.

Again, I want to thank everyone for their support and participation in Tuesdays' Show & Tail! It's been fun getting to know everyone who took part in it!

Running with the Bulls ~ Tuesdays' Show & Tail

It's Tuesday! Time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail! I do hope that everyone will link up at the bottom of my post and share a picture or two of your animals or wildlife that brings you as much joy as all the animals around my place bring me!

This is what it's like to run with the bulls! We were on a mule ride and the cows were running along side us. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of them.

Deer Family ~ Tuesdays' Show & Tail

It's Tuesday! Time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail! I do hope that everyone will link up at the bottom of my post and share a picture or two of your animals or wildlife that brings you as much joy as all the animals around my place bring me!
I love where I live! I get to see all of God's creations on a daily basis. Right now the doe are raising their offspring. We were riding the mule and came upon a mommy with her twins crossing the road. Being camera ready at all times ensures that you get a picture!

I just love seeing the babies!

Look at the spots on the fawn. My little man calls them freckles!

Sorry I'm late! It's been a busy few days around here! Today I am going to share a picture of a dragonfly that I took a week ago on the front porch steps at my house. I thought it was beautiful and of course I had my camera in my hand! I always have my camera!

Rocky ~ Tuesdays' Show & Tail

It's Tuesday! Time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail! I do hope that everyone will link up at the bottom of my post and share a picture or two of your animals or wildlife that brings you as much joy as all the animals around my place bring me!
Earlier last week my Little Man found a box turtle in our yard. He was absolutely thrilled with his new found pet. He kept it in a blue bucket and carried it around every where he went. I took a look at his new friend and I believe it was a female. He had already named her Rocky so Rocky it was.

Being the sneaky little man that he is he snatched up my camera and took a few pictures of Rocky in the house! Isn't she sweet looking! I believe that Rocky is a rather old box turtle from the looks of her.
I told him to put her in the flower garden so she could eat some bugs. This time I gave him my camera to take a few pictures of her in the flowers. If you look close you can see her peeping out from her shell.
In the day time my Little Man would keep Rocky in the blue bucket carrying her around every where he would go. One evening he caught lightening bugs and fed them to her! At night I would talk him into letting her free. Each morning she would only be around 10 feet from the bucket. Like I said, I think Rocky was old and very slow. One time when we went on a mule ride I had him to let her free to eat bugs and when we returned she was only 10 feet from where he let her free. The day that I had him take a few pictures of her in the flowers was the day that he decided that it was time to let Rocky completely free. That evening he played with Rocky. Looking at her every so lovingly and then said he was going to let her free in the woods. He then took her to the edge of the woods where Rocky wandered away this time much farther than her usual 10 feet. He had hoped that she would still be around the next day but Rocky returned to her natural habitat. I hope that she lives a long and happy life in our woods. From what I read about box turtles they can live between 50 to 100 years. After having Rocky around for almost a week I'll have to say that I miss her sweet little face. She was ever so gentle with her boy. I do believe that she loved him. She was the best turtle in the world!

Jazz vs. Coon ~ Tuesdays' Show & Tail

It's Tuesday! Time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail! I do hope that everyone will link up at the bottom of my post and share a picture or two of your animals or wildlife that brings you as much joy as all the animals around my place bring me!

If you have a corgi you know how corgis are. They won't back off something they have in a tree for nothing. Not even food. Usually I am able to get her to come down but this time she was very stubborn. I think she had whatever it was trapped for a good 24 hours. It must had finally fell out or decided to come down when she was down at the house. I'm just not sure. I'm not even sure what she had in the tree. The last time it was a opossum and before that it was a cat. We have seen coons in the yard but that was years ago.

Whatever it was messed up Jazz' eye pr
etty bad. I seen it Wednesday night before I went to bed. Made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't get to sleep. I took her to her Doc Thursday morning. He kept saying he wants to put a stitch in it but he wasn't sure if she would sit still for it. He gave her a numbing shot in the eye to see how she stood for that and then he would go from there. She did alright with that but he had a hard time getting the needle in her thick skin. He also had a hard time putting the first stitch in. He got a different needle for the second stitch. She is going to be alright though. I have to take her back to get the stitches out. She's wearing the Cone of Shame right now! lol She's also getting spoiled rotten with all the attention she is getting from having to be taken on walks and getting to stay in the house! She is eating it up you know! lol
WARNING: You might not want to view the following pictures of Jazz. They aren't the cute ones I usually share.

Before stitches.

After the Doc put 2 stitches in and on our way home.

Even through all that Jazz is still a happy camper! That was until I put on the Cone of Shame!

My other dog Two also got hurt by whatever it was that they had in a tree, but she didn't need to get stitches or anything. She was lucky because her cut is also on her face on her cheek.

Crazy Jazz ~ Tuesdays' Show & Tail

It's Tuesday! Time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail! I do hope that everyone will link up at the bottom of my post and share a picture or two of your animals or wildlife that brings you as much joy as all the animals around my place bring me! Jazz is one crazy girl! She can sleep just about anywhere. Most of the time when I take a sneak peak to see where she is I'll find her sleeping in her den under a rocking chair on the front porch. Then other times she will be sleeping on her back on the front porch! I guess she wants to feel a cool breeze on her belly or something! I took all the above pictures through the window! It would have woke her up if I opened the door to take them! What do you think? Sleeping Beauty or what!

Jazz in the DOG House! ~ Tuesdays' Show & Tail

It's Tuesday! Time for Tuesdays' Show & Tail! Won't you join in this week and share a picture or two of your pets or wild life around your neighborhood! We'd love to see your post!

Lately I've been putting the girls dog food inside the dog house to keep it from getting wet from all the rain we've been having lately. I'm not sure if Jazz likes this arrangement or not. What do you think?

Just look at her sticking her tongue out at me as I'm heading out to go to the store to buy her some more snacks! Well, I never! Jazz! That's just mean!

She really doesn't mind where she eats just as long as she gets to eat!

Look at her laughing at me as I'm driving away! She's such a jokester!
