Here's a few more natural remedies that I have found to share with everyone. As with all over the counter type remedies please make sure you can take this with your other medicines you might be taking before you take it. There are a few medicines that I can not take with the Tamoxifen I have to take to keep the breast cancer at bay so I make sure I check with my doctor and pharmacists and I also triple check by checking online for myself. I don't just take the doctors word for it. After all it is my life and not theirs.
The Food Cravings chart looks like it would be worth a try!
I know I have tried wasabi, but I can not remember what it was in or with. I do remember that I liked it though!
I actually like everything on the Top 10 Hydrating Foods Chart. Looking at the watermelon makes me wish it was summer because that is when they are at their best.
When I went to the store the other day I bought an English cucumber. I seem to like those the best and tolerate them better. They don't make me burp. Anyway, my daughter was eating some and made a comment that this was the best cucumber she has had. She said it had a really good taste. That put a big smile on my face as I said it was an organic cucumber. There is a huge difference in the taste of organic verses the regular ones. Price was about 10 cents more, but well worth it in the taste difference!

It's a new year and most people seem to always jump on the New Year's Resolutions to loose some weight, eat healthy and all that jazz. Not me. I know I won't be able to keep to it and therefore why bother. Don't get me wrong. I do and have been eating much better lately trying to only buy organic when I can.
I like everything on the list above. I try to keep about half of it in my refrigerator on a regular basis.
I have been tested for Vitamin D deficiency every 3 months for a good year. I'm still Vitamin D deficient even though I take a very strong prescription of Vitamin D once a week. I have noticed though that I don't get sick as often as I did before.
We have been really enjoying lemon infused water at our house lately. I bought some limes, but no one liked them. When strawberries are in season I will have to give it a try.

I do know that my dog Two does so much better with her hips with I give her glutathione. It looks like it has many benefits for us also!
I love Aloe Vera for burns! Which that reminds me I need to get another plant because I just noticed mine is dead... May it rest in peace. Echinacea is a wonder drug. I take it when I start getting sick and it usually knocks it within an hour. I have been taking Evening Primrose Oil for a good 15 years for PMS symptoms. Maybe that is why I don't have high cholesterol.
I found the food cravings chart interesting. I have noticed that since I've been eating more veggies and fruits I don't crave chocolate that I used to. Here's proof of that. I was hiding some Christmas presents I recently bought and stumbled upon some of my hidden chocolate that I had forgotten about. It was a year old! Still taste good though! If I had been craving it I would have remembered where it was stashed and I would have ate it!
Dangerous Foods for Dogs! I had always heard of chocolate being bad for dogs, but I didn't know about grapes, onions, and raisins. My mom was telling me that her dog loved grapes. I had just read something about dogs and grapes so I looked it up and seen that it can cause kidney failure in dogs. I told her about it and she don't give her dog grapes anymore. Luckily her dog was so big that it didn't bother it at all. I had a recent scare with raisins with my girl Jazz. My Little Man was eating raisins and you know how kids drop things... He dropped a few raisins and Jazz swept them up so fast I didn't have time to think. Later that evening she was breathing hard and then I remembered the raisins. Lucky for us all she didn't have any problems from it. Her breathing was just where it was too hot in the house.

I have been sick for going on 3 weeks now. I think I will try to get some of the essential oil of basil to see if that will help. After a week of treating my sore throat and sinus problem on my own I broke down and went to the MedExpress. They gave me an antibiotic. It took 4 days before I started feeling better, but I'm still not fully recovered. The cough is so bad at night that I had to call them to have them call me in a prescription for tessalon perles. Those work wonders! I hate using them all up, but I do need them still.
The above chart is very interesting.
I used to say that there couldn't be a difference between organic verses the other produce until I started buying organic and eating it. There is a big difference in the taste, quality and even how long it will last without rotting. I also feel so much better eating only organic.

I really do love kale. I should get some seeds and have my husband plant some right now.
I have really been trying my best to eat fresh organic fruits and vegetables. I feel so much better when I do.
I think I will have to buy some cayenne pepper the next time I go to the store. It looks really good. I wonder if it really does help stop a heart attack in 30 seconds? If it is true then everyone should carry this little baby around with them at all times!
I really do love fresh pineapple. I don't know why, but the last time I bought some it made me have sores in my mouth and it stung my tongue. I haven't bought one in over a year because of that.

It is just awful what the food manufactures are doing to our food these days! Why would you want artificial flavored lemonade over real lemons? Lately I've been buying real lemons to put in my water. After I wash the lemon I cut a small slice about what is in the picture above and put one or two in a glass of water. I really like it that way. I don't add sugar either! Aren't you proud of me! It's a great way to get some water in also.
This makes me want to go and get some essential oil of basil to give it a try. It really sounds like basil is very beneficial to use. I have grown it before to put a few leaves on my homemade pizza. It has a very powerful taste about it that not everyone can tolerate though. I'm the only one in the house that would eat it!
I take a prescription strength Vitamin D that my doctor prescribes for me to take once a week because I'm deficient. I will say that the day after taking it I do feel like I have more energy that day than the day before I take it. I also haven't had the flu or sinus infections like I did a few years back.
With the temperatures running a bit high right now it wouldn't hurt to take a look at the top 10 hydrating foods. Today I had the lettuce and tomatoes.

Has anyone ever taken glutathione? If you have please leave me a comment if it is worth taking or not. I do need to increase my energy. I would also like to detox my liver if it really works. What can I say. I've turned into a health nut when I can! lol
I am a strong proponent of preventative medicine. I take a lot of vitamins and herbs to help prevent different things that I might come into contact with. For instance, I take probiotics (good bacteria) when I visit family in the hospital. There are a lot of germs at hospitals, doctor's offices and nursing homes. I take Echinacea with goldenseal to prevent the flu and other colds.
The medicine I take has given me insomnia really bad. My eyes might be tired at night, but I'm not sleepy at all. I lay in bed tossing and turning for a few hours before I would fall to sleep. The past 2 months I've been taking Melatonin and I fall asleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillow! I am loving it! I take a 5mg cherry flavored dissolvable tablet at night when I want to go to sleep. I consulted my doctor before I started taking it and got his ok so you might want to do that also before starting it especially if you are on prescription medicine.
I do feel like I am a lab rat at times. Some doctors will try this and then try that to see if they can fix your problem. While trying to fix your problem they end up creating yet another problem! I do feel sorry for the lab rats or lab testing animals though.
I love kale! I especially love the taste of the organic kale that I was able to buy at the store when it was at it's peak season this year. I have been wanting to buy some more, but when I go to the store it doesn't look good so I don't buy it.

I hate to say it, but I never knew what an avocado was until I was older and it was on the side of some Mexican food along with some sour cream! I do like guacamole, but it is kind of rich to my taste buds at times. I've never bought an avocado that I can remember. Maybe I should buy one the next time I go to the store. Who knows? I might like them a different way. I'm sure guacamole isn't all that healthy for you!
Hey! They left out lemons are good for Lemonade! And when life gives you lemons make lemonade with it!
I have no idea if this is true or not. I don't think I've ever ate 12 hotdogs a month EVER! I do know in the summer months we do have our spells of when we like to cook hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill or an open fire where we roast them on a stick. There won't be any of that going on this summer unless we buy a new grill. Ours bit the dust in the last wind storm last month or so. It was already on it's last leg which is why I wasn't using it much at all last summer.
I don't think it was until I had kids that I tried a pumpkin seed! I like them and I buy them when I see them at the store from time to time. I'm the only one in the house that will eat them really.

There are a lot of health benefits of consuming herbs and spices with our food. I have been trying to include more and more spices and herbs in my recipes, but when you didn't grow up eating these types of things it is hard to figure out how to add them to your diet. Growing up my mom would make pork chops with mashed potatoes and apples. Another day would be a beef roast with boiled potatoes and peas. The next day would be a vegetable soup with the leftover beef. Mom cooked a lot of comfort foods. I try to cook different things. Most times I have to cut the spices in half that are recommended in a recipe because it is just too strong for us because we aren't used to it.
I love watermelon! I prefer to buy watermelon that has the seeds because I think it taste better than the ones without the seeds. It is getting harder and harder each year to find a watermelon with seeds. Usually when I do find one with seeds it cost more than the one without seeds. I can remember when they first came out with the seedless variety and those were the ones that cost more. It seems like watermelons keep going up in price every summer. I hope to plant some watermelons in our garden this year. Hopefully Mother Nature will work with us this year instead of against us in the garden!
Who knew dark chocolate contains more iron than beef? I didn't! I'm not sure if this is accurate or not, but I am hoping that it is!

Easter is right around the corner! Do you know how good carrots are for you? I'm betting that rascally old rabbit knows!
When I was a kid one of my favorite things to eat was raisins. My Little Man loves them also and will eat them like candy over candy! We prefer the organic ones over the others. The last time I went to the store he was asking for some more raisins. Unfortunately, they were out of the organic ones. He settled for organic cranberries which he loves just as much as raisins.
I am guilty of not drinking enough water.... I hope to change that. I do drink a quick glass of water before I go to bed. I was doing that before I knew about the benefits.
