West Virginia Ghost Story!
WEST VIRGINIA GHOST STORY
This happened recently just outside the little town of Hurricane, West Virginia, and while it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's real. A guy was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a really dark night in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Time passed slowly and no cars went by. It was raining so hard he could hardly see his hand in front of his face. Suddenly he saw a car moving slowly, approaching and appearing ghost-like in the rain. It slowly crept toward him and stopped.
Wanting a ride really bad, the guy jumped in the car and closed the door, only then did he realize that there was nobody behind the wheel. The car slowly started moving and the guy was terrified, too scared to think of jumping out and running.
The guy saw that the car was slowly approaching a sharp curve, still too scared to jump out, he started to pray and begging for his life; he was sure the ghost car would go off the road and into the marsh and he would surely drown, when just before the curve, a hand appeared through the driver's window and turned the steering wheel, guiding the car safely around the bend.
Paralyzed with fear, the guy watched the hand reappear every time they reached a curve. Finally the guy, scared to near death, had all he could take and jumped out of the car and ran to town.
Wet and in shock, he went into a cafe and, voice quivering, ordered a cup of hot coffee, black, and then told everybody about his experience. A silence enveloped the cafe and everybody got goose bumps when they realized the guy was telling the truth and was not just some weirdo.
About half an hour later two guys walked into the cafe and one says to the other: 'Look Bubba, there's that idiot who rode in our car when we were pushing it in the rain!

Trick-or-Treat Night
I thought I'd share a few pictures from our Trick-or-Treating fun we had Monday night! The first few pictures are from a church near my sister's house that had a truck or treat. Trunk or treats are so much fun.
Oh, yes they did! They dressed up their pup as Dino! lol
This next guy was just a random teenager we seen when we were Trick-or-Treating on my sister's road. This guy was just hilarious! He made his costume. He had a small boom box around his neck playing music. My sister and I were dancing in the street with him! We danced with him every time we seen him! So much fun!
My little man is a blurr in every picture I took of him. He was so fast running from house to house. If you look you can see that both his feet are off the ground in this picture! Or so it looks that way to me.
This is my nephew. He was a Ninja.
This is my other nephew. He was a sock monkey! How cute is that!
He knows what the good stuff is! lol
He wanted to taste everything they would hand him!

Memory Lane Friday ~ Halloween
Two Bears Farm and the Three Cubs is hosting Memory Lane Friday. A weekly blog carnival where you can blog about your past memories and link up. Some weeks have themes, some do not, but either way everyone is welcome! This week's topic is Halloween. After reading her post I decided to find the only Halloween picture that I have of myself when I was a kid and share it today. I think it's the only one of me in all those years. Film and developing must had been a lot back then. Just saying.....
The year was around 1972. Just take a look at that brown shag carpet! And the floor model big screen television complete with rabbit ears! It was a time when Tony the Tiger would be on tv saying "They're Gr-r-reat"! I LOVED Tony the Tiger! And I ate Frosted Flakes too! That's me in the Tony the Tiger costume and my cousin in the clown costume. Angela

Trick or Treat!
It's Great!!!! lol I found this picture at moms the other day and I had to scan it to because it is just too funny. I think I was probably in kindergarten? Can you guess which one is me? Well, I'm the one dressed up like Tony the Tiger! lol I just loved the commercials for Frosted Flakes. It was my favorite cereal back then too. The other kid in the picture is my cousin Kim. She would have been about 3 years old. Can you tell it was the early 70's? Just look at that television set and that shag carpet! Gotta love it!
