A couple of months ago one of my mom's cousins gave her these sweet pictures. They are my great grand mother and my mom when she was little. My great grand parents took my mom and a few of the other grand children on vacation with them that year.
It is fun seeing old family pictures like these.

Veterans in the Family
Joseph F. McClanahan was born on January 16, 1928 and died on January 10, 2000. He was a SPC US Navy. He was in World War II, Korea and the Vietnam wars. The picture below was taken in 1967, and he is talking with Billy Graham himself! He really liked Billy Graham so much that he named his son Billy.

Ma Ma Macil's Punch Bowl ~ Vintage Thingie Thursday
It's Vintage Thingie Thursday over at Coloradolady's! Please visit her to see all of the others who are participating in this weekly event! Thanks Suzanne for being such a great host!
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! I hope everyone is enjoying their day spent with loved one!
I would like to show you my Great Grand Mother's punch bowl that was passed down to me. It belonged to Lilly Macil Thomas McClanahan. I just love it! I even have the matching cups that go with it. I use it for all special occasions and holidays when family comes over. I also use it for my daughter's birthday parties. The girls just love being served from Ma Ma Macil's punch bowl. For most of the girls it is their first time getting to use something as fancy as this. It really makes them feel special. I love being able to make them feel special too!
