Albert Falls

I found this picture of Albert Falls located in Thomas, West Virginia just sitting in my drafts!  I can't believe I forgot to post this beauty.  Well, it's never to late to post a picture of a beautiful waterfall so here it is!  This was taken in the summer of 2012.

Douglas Falls

UPDATE:  I have discovered that I was wrong about the name of this waterfall being Douglas Falls.  It is actually called Albert Falls. 

Last year on our vacation at Canaan Valley, West Virginia we discovered a new waterfall that we hadn't ever seen or even knew about. I was so excited about getting to see it when I discovered that it even existed from reading an article HERE. It's called Douglas Falls and it is located in Douglas, West Virginia just outside of Thomas, West Virginia. Douglas Falls is breathtakingly beautiful! It made me want to go for a swim in the water below.

Unfortunately Douglas Falls isn't that easily accessible. It's also not as easily viewed from all of the trees and things that are growing along the side of the dirt road where it is located. I really would love for some group in that area to clean that area up as it is a must see destination if you are in the area. I suppose that is why it is one of West Virginia's best kept secrets. I don't think it should be a secret anymore!
