Josie is 2 years old!

This girly girl celebrated her 2nd birthday on February 15, 2022.  Look at how she sits up on top of the couch like she's a cat.  Josie's nickname is Kitty Kitty!

My Little Sailor

Josie loved wearing her little sailor suit I bought her last year at a thrift store at the beach.  It fits her perfectly this year.  She looked so cute wearing it too!

Josie at the Outer Banks

I'm behind again....  Back at the end of May we went on vacation to the Outer Banks.  We took Josie with us again this year.  She absolutely loves going to the beach.  We believe she remembered her trip last year.

Missing my Sweet Girl Jazz

Today marks the one year anniversary of the death of my sweet girly, girl, Jazz.  I still can't believe she is no longer here with us.  She was such an easy going corgi.  Words seem to fail me.  I just can't put to words how much we loved her and how much she loved us.  I know we'll see her again when we get to Heaven.  Until then her memory lives on in our hearts.

Josie 6 and 7 months old ~ Tuesdays'Show andTail

At times Josie loves to take a little nap on my lap.  She's such a loving little girl.

Other times she likes to lay on the floor!  lol  I don't know what was going on with her legs.  hahaha
In this picture you can see her long eye lashes that look like she's wearing false eye lashes.  She has the most beautiful eyes.  Pictures just don't do it justice.
She's such a beautiful girl.  We think she is going to be on the petite side.  Her parents were smaller as well.

Josie ~ 5 Months Old

She's growing so fast!  Josie just turned 5 months old.  She is so gorgeous!  She has a very loving personality.  In the morning when I get up she gets on my lap and lets me love on her until she's ready to get down and play.  She lets us know when she needs to potty.  She loves to play with her toys.  Josie is always on a treasure hunt.  When she gets to go in other rooms in the house that have closed doors she will find something that she thinks we don't want her to have and take off running with it.  She will look back to see if we seen her in hopes that we will chase her.  She will run around with it until she jumps in her big bed where she likes to hide things that she finds.  The other day I looked and she had a fork and a spoon hidden in her bed!  lol  She loves her boy and her daddy.  She can't wait for my husband to come home from work.  She has a night time routine where she does zoomies around the living room until my husband catches her.  He then puts her to bed.  She's a little bossy at times and loves to tell us what's going on.  She's very talkative.

Josie went to the Outer Banks

Sometime in January we made arrangements for our vacation at the Outer Banks.  That was before this virus had made it's nasty appearance in the United States.  The rental company we used would not let us out of our rental agreement.  Believe me, my husband tried many times to get a refund and to cancel our reservations.  They would not refund us our money.  We could have put the rental back on the market for a fee of course and if someone else rented it we would only be out that fee which I think he said was around $150.  We decided that since we had already paid for it we would go ahead and go.  We did have fun.  We just didn't get to eat out at any of the restaurants.  The condo we rented was not a pet friendly unit, but since they were unreasonable in giving us a refund we decided we would take our chances and take Josie with us anyway.  lol  I have always wanted to take our dogs to the beach so this was our opportunity to do so.
Josie absolutely loved her first visit to the beach.  We will take her with us again should we go.  We won't use the rental agency we used this last visit though. It's not that we didn't enjoy the condo we stayed in.  It was a fantastic place to stay in.  We just didn't like the way the rental agency did business with us and others during a difficult time.  Normally we eat out at least once a day.  We did order some food and ate it at the condo.  To me it was like eating leftovers though.  Mainly because the food wasn't that hot and needed to be warmed up.  We did go in a few stores, but only the ones that required you to wear a mask and to stay at least 6 feet away from others plus they would squirt hand sanitizer in your hands upon entry to their store.  I'll share a few pictures from our trip in other posts.

3 1/2 months old

Josie has grown so much over the past few weeks.  Just today my Young Man mentioned that when we got her she wasn't as big as his shoe, but now she is carrying around his shoes.  Right now she is in the terrible 2's stage!  lol  Oh my!  Is she mouthy!  Sassy!  Bossy!  Sweet!  Loving!  but we love her so much.  She knows what she wants and she knows how to get us to give her what she wants.  Corgi's are just way too smart.  She sits on command.  The accidents in the house are of human error in my opinion.  When she wakes from a nap she has to go potty.  If she isn't taken outside right away then she will have an accident at the front door.  She knows she did wrong so hopefully once she gets a little older she will be able to hold it long enough for us to get our shoes on to take her out.

My Sweet Girl Josie

I thought I'd share a few pictures of Josie that I took the beginning of the month.  She's growing so fast.  She's 100% corgi!  I just love the way they lay all stretched out like this.  In the corgi world this is called a sploot!
There are a few other terms that are used in the corgi world to describe our corgi's.  In this picture you will see what is commonly referred to as a "Drummie"!  Do you see it?  Her back leg and thigh bone looks like a drumstick!
When corgi's are babies a lot of people refer to their little feat as "Toe Beans"!  lol  At this age their little toe beans are really soft because they haven't walked around outside a lot yet to harden them up.  Corgi's also have a lot of hair that grows on the bottom of their feet.  Some people trim the hair.  I have always left it as sort of a protection to their toe beans.  I think it's cute!
Some corgi's ears will be up by the time they are 8 weeks old, but some won't have their ears standing completely up for a few weeks after that.  Josie how has one ear up and one ear that is thinking about standing up.  It won't be long.  In this picture I had asked her where her boy was.  She pointed with that ear and said he went that way!  lol  Josie loves her boy and wants to be with him all the time.  We are having so much fun with this baby.

Josie and Lovey

Josie with her mommy, Lovey before we brought her home with us.  Such a sweet sight to see them together.  Before we left I loved on Lovey and thanked her for letting me have her baby and told her I would take good care of her.

Josie ~ 5 weeks old

We looked forward to our weekly pictures of our soon to be baby.  This is Josie on March 15th.  It is so neat to get to see all of the changes in coloring that corgi's make during the first few months of their lives.

Josie's Parents

This is Josie's mommy.  Her name is Lovey.  I was told she is 6 years old.  We were so fortunate that we got to meet Lovey when we went to pick up Josie.  Lovely's name is true to her character.  She was such a loving mother.  She was so sweet and gentle.  I fell in love with her personality instantly.

This is Josie's daddy.  His name is Chase.  I believe he is around 2 years old.  We were also fortunate to get to meet him as well.  He was very sweet and gentle as well.

Intrudocuing Josie!

After we lost our sweet girl Jazz we decided that we wanted to bring another corgi into our family.  The search was on.  It took me 3 years to find my Jazzy girl.  This time we were fortunate that it didn't take as long, but this time we did have to drive out of state to get our new baby.  Josie was born February 15th of 2020 in Tennessee.  Her mother's name is Lovey and her father's name is Chase.  Lovey had 5 babies.  We were told this was going to be her last litter.

In this picture Josie was only 4 weeks old.  I'll share more pictures of Josie in other posts.  I am going to do my best to start blogging again.  When our sweet girl Jazz passed it really helped me to be able to look back at all of the different posts that I made of the different adventures and silly things she did.

2007 - 2019

Heaven is a little sweeter as of yesterday around 9:30 am.  Our sweet Jazzy girl passed away peacefully in her sleep.  Jazz had just turned 12 years old on August 4, 2019.

I'm not sure how many of my previous followers will see this, but I wanted everyone to know of her passing because there were a lot of people who loved her on here.

Jazz was the sweetest girl in the world.  She loved life and lived it to the fullest.  She went on mule rides, car rides, go cart rides, sleigh rides, wagon rides.  She loved to chase squirrels, opossums, coons and the stray cats that people would drop off at our house.

A few years ago she was a calendar girl of a corgi's with blogs calendar.  She was also on my homemade calendars for years as well.  She loved to dress up and have her picture taken.

She loved going on nature walks on our property.  She also loved to race me in my truck when I would drive down our driveway.

Many have wrote that their hearts are empty when they write about the loss of their pets.  Our hearts are still full of love and sweet memories of our beautiful girl.  We are trying to celebrate the wonderful life and wonderful girl she was.  She's in Heaven now.  She's running with Two!  We will miss both our girls, but we also know that we will see them both again when the Lord calls us home to Heaven as well.

Happy 12th Birthday to my Sweet Girl Jazz

It is hard for me to believe that my sweet girl is now 12 years old!  I actually had been telling everyone she was going to be 11 years old on her next birthday until I found her birth certificate.  Imagine my shock and Jazz' shock to find out that she was already 11 years old and turning 12!

Happy Birthday Sweet Cheeks!  Jazz actually turned 12 on August 4th.
