Today I am going to link an old post that I did originally posted on October 22, 2009 to My Best Treasure Find at Two Bears Farm. Normally I would do a new post but this was truly my best Treasure find ever!I will have to say "Praise the Lord"! I truly am a blessed woman! The Lord does give us our hearts desires! When I was a little girl I had this little car that I just loved. I don't know what happened to it but I have talked about this little car for years. I have always said that if I ever see it at an antique store or somewhere else that if it wasn't too pricey that I would have to buy it. I was just talking about this little car just last week with my mom. She also remembers how much I loved that little car. She said that I would ride it for hours upon hours. I really wish I had a picture of me riding in my little car!
Here comes the Blessing! Today I was on my way home from picking up my son from preschool when I looked over at the porch of a thrift store and seen it! I couldn't believe my eyes! I had to turn around to make sure I was seeing what I thought I had seen sitting in front of that thrift store. Yes! I was soo excited! I got out and had to take a better look at it. I had tears in my eyes! Of course I always have my camera with me, so I took a few pictures as this store was not open at that time. It was 11:30 am and the store was to be open at noon. I waited for a half hour and no one showed up. I started calling the phone number posted on the door. No one answered. Now, how was I going to pay for this little car from my childhood? Did I mention that I actually think it is the exact little car that I had when I was 5! So, at that point I called my husband and we both agreed that I should just put it in my truck and stop back when someone was there to pay for it. I got no more than 1 mile from that place when I got a phone call from the lady who runs the thrift store. She was running late from being at a meeting. I told her what I did and told her I would turn around and come back and pay for it. I still beat her there! Gee! So, now it's been a hour and a half that I have invested in waiting for this lady so I could get my Blessing! I am a patient woman! She did give me the third degree for taking it. I told her I understand that but I had every intention of paying for it plus I had even left a note on the door. She said she hadn't had time to price it yet. I said how much do you want. Her response was make an offer and I'll make a counter offer. I then said $15.00 which really was a lot for it but I had to have it! She accepted. Then we go into the store for me to pay. She had to move a lot of things around. I paid and then she told em I should look around as things were half off???? Seriously???? Anyway, we did look but there wasn't anything that I wanted or needed except for my Blessing! lol Then I seen a Handy Manny tool box with all of the tools but 2. It was marked $5 so with it half off it would be $2.50. I'm going through my change at that point! She then told me that we could have it for free. She wanted to give something to my boy.....
It's been a long day! Now it's time for you to take a look at my Blessing! Am I Blessed or what girls!
