My Easter Village

Back when my Young Lady was in pre-school I bought this cute little Easter Village at the Dollar Tree.  I thought it was so cute and I had to have it.  I bought a few pieces one trip and then went back and bought a few more.  Probably 3 or 4 trips is what it took for me to compete my village.  Different stores would have different pieces. 

There is a Saint Peter's Church with a little gazebo to the right.

 Those rabbits love to have fun so there is a hot air balloon. 

The village wouldn't be complete without a Candy Shop!

An Eggery where the rabbits make the eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide!

For some reason I have 2 schools so I like to call this school a church school.  Look at the rabbits reading their Bibles outside the church!  Sweet!

I love the carrot on this house and the sweet picket fence of carrots! 

And last is a picture I took of a beautiful flower arrangement along with a beautiful basket full of eggs on my dining room table.  My husband's work has a yearly event where they have beautiful centerpieces on the tables.  He gets to bring home one of the centerpieces for me every year.  This is by far my favorite one!  He brought this one home this past September. 

I love this little porcelain Easter basket I bought a few years ago at Home Goods.  I hope you enjoyed some of my Easter decorations.  I will have to show you my fireplace mantel real soon.

He's Alive!

The gates and doors were barred

And all the windows fastened down

I spent the night in sleeplessness

And rose at every sound

Half in hope of sorrow

And half in fear the day

So I went down to let her in

John stood there beside me

As she told me where she'd been

She said they've moved Him in the night

And none of us know where

Then John ran on ahead

We found the stone and empty tomb

Just the way that Mary said

But the winding sheet they wrapped Him in

Easter in West Virginia ~ the year of 2005.

Happy Easter!

Just a few pictures I took of the kids back at Easter time in 2005. It was my baby boy's first Easter. It is so funny looking at these pictures. Look at how bald he was! lol And the dog in the picture was a dog that someone dropped off and we took him in. He sat at the end of our driveway for a few days before he finally came to the porch. One look at those big beautiful brown eyes and he was mine. After my husband determined that he wasn't a mean dog we took him in. We believe he was a chow mix. I named him Trouble because he kept chewing things in the yard. He sure was a gentle and loving dog. We had Trouble for about 2 years and then he just disappeared as fast as he came to us. I looked and looked for him but I never found him. I like to think that his previous owners came and took him back home with them. That was about 3 years ago and I still look for him. I miss you Trouble!
